Best Time to Visit Malaysia

The weather in Malaysia is said to be hot and humid throughout the year with short spells of rain. The temperature in Malaysia usually varies from 21°C – 32°C at the sea level. At the higher peak levels, you can expect lower temperatures and much colder weather. When you are planning to visit Malaysia, the first thing that you need to decide is which part of Malaysia you’re visiting, i.e. the west coast or the east coast. The best travelling months will depend on the choice of your region and also the kind of activities that you are planning on enjoying.

Malaysia barely has any seasonal changes because of the constant temperature but the coldest months are said to be from November to January. The best time to visit Malaysia is between March and October. This period is characterised by mostly dry weather and clear skies. After the rainy season, plenty of tropical foliage makes this country a must visit. If you are a wildlife lover, then you should consider the dry season of March to October for visiting. You can enjoy bird watching in March and July months.

Day 2: Kuala Lumpur sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, you begin your tour of the Malaysian capital. The tour will take you to all of the city’s attractions including the gold domed King’s Palace, National Monument and National Museum built to commemorate the Malaysian Struggle for Independence.

You can also load up on souvenirs at China Town before heading to the serene National Mosque, the Independence Square or Anglican Church and the iconic KL Tower that adorns every Malaysian postcard. The evening will be at leisure for you where you can indulge in your own activities. Dinner and night stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 3: Day trip to Genting Highlands

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and leave for the Genting Highlands hill top resort. Admire the stunning views as you ascend to the resort by cable car. One of Malaysia’s biggest tourist draws, Genting has something for everyone. Visit Snow World, a winter wonderland in hot and humid times and the indoor and outdoor amusements parks, perfect for adrenaline junkies of every age. You could even try your luck at Casino de Genting, the biggest of its kind in the country. En route visit Batu Caves, home to one of the largest Hindu temples outside of India dedicated to Lord Murugan. Dinner and night stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 4: Kuala Lumpur to Penang

After having breakfast at hotel you will check-out and then leave the bustling cityscapes of KL for the tranquil paradise of Penang. On arrival in Penang you will check-in at your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, sipping on cocktails and exploring the delightful lanes of Penang. Dinner and night stay in Penang.

Day 5: Penang sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, you begin your half day tour of Penang discovering its rich culture, history and landmarks. Rest of the evening is free for you to explore the place on your own. Dinner and night stay in Penang.

Day 6: Penang –Departure

After breakfast you will check-out from hotel and transfer to airport for your return journey to home with sweet memories of your holidaying in Malaysia to cherish lifelong.
